Lord, have mercy on us.
    Christ, have mercy on us
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ hear us.
    Christ, graciously hear us.
God, Celestial Father,
    Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
    Have mercy on us.
God, the Holy Spirit,
    Have mercy on us.
Most Holy Trinity, One God,
    Have mercy on us.

Behold we were conceived in sin; and in iniquity our mothers brought us forth;
    Have mercy on us.

As we have grown in years, we have multiplied our offenses however, every day Thy goodness adds to our lives;
    Have mercy on us.

The law of our body makes war against the law of our mind, and brings us into subjection to sin; so that the good which we would do, we do not; and the wrong which we would not do; we do;
    Have mercy on us.

We have sinned in the vain thoughts and unlawful desires of our hearts, in the idle talk and perverse words of our mouths, in offensive actions and the fruitless course of our lives;
    Have mercy on us.

We have sinned against Thee by our ingratitude for Thy blessings, and by our impatience under Thy chastisements, by preferring ourselves, and the satisfaction of our own appetites and desires, before Thee and the observance of Thy Holy Commandments;
    Have mercy on us.

We have sinned against others, in not doing to them as we would have them to do to us; and against our own souls, in pursuing more eagerly the things of this life than those which belong to our Eternal happiness;
    Have mercy on us.

We have sinned in delaying our repentance, and breaking the solemn promise of amending our lives; in exposing ourselves to the danger of temptation, and often omitting the opportunities of serving Thee; and even our best endeavours are full of imperfections;
    Have mercy on us.

We have sinned, in not improving ourselves, by the talents of grace and nature, which Thy bounty has committed to us; and by idly spending that precious time, and unthankfully neglecting those gracious means, which Thy goodness has allowed us for the work of our salvation;
    Have mercy on us.

Have mercy on us, most Merciful Father, and pardon the multitude of our offenses; remember what our substance is; that we are but as the grass of the field, or as vapor that passes away, and returns no more; remember what Thou art; infinitely glorious in Thyself, and infinitely good to the least of Thy creatures; remember the gracious promises of Jesus Christ; and for the merits of His Sacred Passion,

From all our sins,
    Deliver us O Lord.

From the neglect and abuse of Sundays, which we are commanded to keep holy,
    Deliver us O Lord.

From sloth and indevotion,
    Deliver us O Lord.

From neglect of prayer, and of Thy Sacred Word,
    Deliver us O Lord.

From all occasions of mis-spending this day,
    Deliver us O Lord.

From whatever is an offense to God, or a scandal to the weak,
    Deliver us O Lord.

We sinners,
    Beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may have Thy grace to sanctify Sundays, as Thou has commanded,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may, this day, labor to arise to a new life,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may, this day, examine the state of our souls, and resolve to amend whatever is displeasing to Thee,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may be converted from all our sinful ways, and by a sincere repentance obtain Thy peace,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may, this day, be so strengthened in our faith so as to focus our whole endeavors upon seeking those eternal goods which faith teaches us; and to live by this faith,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That Thy Holy Spirit would, this day, descend and take possession of our hearts, and confirm us in every duty so that no earthly considerations may be able to prevail against us to the transgressions of Thy Law,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may join with all the Angels, Saints and faithful departed in the Heavens, in praising, adoring and praying to Thee, and so prepare our souls to celebrate with them, an Eternal Salvation,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That we may not give this day to earthly or self-love, which is consecrated to Heaven, but employ it in such exercises as may raise our hearts above creatures, and unite them to Thee by love, who art our only sovereign and everlasting good,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

That Thou would vouchsafe graciously to hear us, and grant these our petitions,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.
Son of God,
    We beseech Thee, hear us.

Lamb of God, You Who take away the sins of the world,
    Spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, You Who take away the sins of the world,
    Hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, You Who take away the sins of the world,
    Have mercy on us.
Christ Jesus, hear us.
    Christ Jesus, graciously hear us.

Let us pray:

O God, the Protector of all who hope in Thee, without Whom nothing can have either strength or holiness, multiply Thy mercy, we beseech Thee, upon us. You, Who are Our Govenor and Our Guide, assist us as we pass through this life, so that we do not lose ourselves to earthly considerations, instead lead us to those things which are eternal, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord in unity with the Holy Spirit. Amen

V. O Lord, deal not with us according to our sins, which we have committed;

    R. Nor punish us as our iniquities deserve.

V. Help us, O God, Our Saviour; and for the glory of Thy Name deliver us;

    R. O Lord, deliver us; and for the glory of Thy Name, pardon us and our offenses.

V. The priests, the ministers of the Lord, shall weep between the vestibule and the altar, and shall say, "spare, O Lord, spare Thy people;"

    R. We therefore beseech Thee, help Thy servants, whom Thou has redeemed with Thy Precious Blood; O Lord, have mercy on us; have mercy on us.

Let us pray:

Grant us, O Lord, we beseech Thee, Thy assistance, whereby we may go through the observance of this holy fast; that what we have undertaken by Thy appointment we may by Thy grace accomplish, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord in unity with the Holy Spirity. Amen

OUR FATHER

Our Father, Who Art In Heaven
Hallowed Be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Liberate us from all temptation[*]
And deliver us from all evil. Amen

[*] Liberate us is in keeping with the original Latin text.
       God usually does not "lead us" to temptation
       (unless we are tested),
       but gives us the grace to overcome and/or resist it

HAIL MARY

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art though among women,
And blessed is the fruit
Of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mary of God
Pray for us sinners
Now, and in the hour
Of our death. Amen

APOSTLE'S CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty Creator of Heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His Only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the
[work and grace of the] Holy Ghost,[*]
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into the Dead.[**]
On the third day, He rose again;
He ascended into Heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God,
the Father Almighty.
From thence he shall come to judge
the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost,[*]
The Holy Catholic Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins.
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting. Amen

[*] Holy Ghost: may be substituted with the current Holy Spirit.
[**] the Dead: "inferi", the underworld or the dead in Latin.

GLORIA

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Ghost[*],
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.

DE PROFUNDIS

Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord:
Lord, hear my voice.
Let Thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplication.

If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities:
Lord, who shall abide it.
For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness:
and because of Thy law,
I have waited for Thee, O Lord.

My soul hath waited on His word:
my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning-watch even until night,
let Israel hope in the Lord.

For with the Lord there is mercy:
and with Him plenteous redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel
from all her iniquities.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Ghost[*],
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

[*] Holy Ghost: may be substituted with the current Holy Spirit.

PADRE NUESTRO

Padre Nuestro,
que estas en los Cielos
Santificado sea Tu Nombre;
Venga a nosotros tu Reino;
Hágase Tu Voluntad
en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día;
Perdona nuestras ofensas,
Como también nosotros
perdonamos a los que nos ofenden,
No nos dejes caer en la tentación,
y líbranos del mal. Amén

Bendita Tú eres

CREDO

Creo en Dios, Padre Todopoderoso,
Creador del cielo y de la tierra.
Creo en Jesucristo,
Su único Hijo, Nuestro Señor,
Que fue concebido por obra
y gracia del Espíritu Santo,
Nació de la Santa María Virgen;

escucha mi voz;
Estén Tus oidos atentos
a la voz de mi súplica.

Si llevas cuenta de los delitos, Señor,
¿quién podrá resistir?
Pero de ti procede el perdón,
y así infundes respeto.
Mi alma espera en el Señor.

Espera en su palabra;
mi alma aguarda al Señor,
más que el centinela la aurora.
Aguarda Israel al Señor.

Como el centinela la aurora;
porque del Señor viene la misericordia.
la redención copiosa;
y Él redimirá a Israel de todos sus delitos.

Gloria al Padre, al Hijo y al
Espíritu Santo,
como es desde el principio,
es ahora y será por los siglos de los siglos.
Amén
