The Lord is My Shepherd
The Lord God’s spiritual benefits to faithful souls
The Lord ruleth (in Hebrew, is my shepherd, viz., to feed,
guide, and govern me)
me: and I shall want nothing.

He hath set me in a place of pasture.

He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment:

He hath converted my soul.

He hath led me on the paths of justice,
for his own name’ s sake.

For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evils, for thou art with me.

Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.
Thou hast prepared a table before me
against them that afflict me.

Thou hast anointed my head with oil;

and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it!

And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life.

And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
unto length of my days.
Psalm 22 (23), Douay-Rheims Bible; http://www.drbo.org
"All that the Father gives to me shall come to me; and him that comes to me, I will not cast out.

Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him that sent me.

Now this is the will of the Father who sent me: that of all that he hath given me, I should lose nothing; but should raise it up again in the last day.

And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who sees the Son, and believes in Him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day."
John 6:37-40
Eternal rest give to them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.

From the gates of hell, deliver
their souls, O Lord.

May they rest in peace, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

O Lord, hear my prayer,

And let my cry come unto Thee.

Let us pray:
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful; grant unto the souls of Thy servants and handmaids the remission of all their sins: that through our devout supplications they may obtain the pardon they have always desired. Who lives and reigns world without end. Amen

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen
