Let us pray

Almighty and everlasting God, Thou has appointed Thine Only-begotten Son to be the Redeemer of the world, and chosen to accept the offering of His Most Precious Blood; therefore, we beg Thee, teach us to reverence that which paid for our salvation, and defend us by Its power from the evils of this earthly life, so that we may rejoice forever in the life that It has bought for us in heaven, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen
