SIGN OF THE CROSS
By the sign of the Cross, deliver us Lord our God, from our enemies.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary, your most beloved spouse. (Repeat 3 times)
ACT OF CONTRITION
O my God, I am heartly sorry for having offended Thee, and I
detest all my sins, because I fear the loss of heaven and
the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend Thee,
my God, Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly
resolve, with the help of Thy Grace, to confess my sins, to do
penance, and to amend my life. Amen
THE APOSTLE’S CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only
Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of
the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified,
died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day
He arose again; He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the
right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall
come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy
Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life
OUR FATHER PRAYER - PATER NOSTER
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy
name: Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And
lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen
HAIL MARY PRAYER - THE ANGELIC SALUTATION
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee:
blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and
at the hour of our death. Amen
GLORY BE PRAYER - THE DOXOLOGY
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to
the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen
THE FATIMA (Decade) PRAYER
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell,
and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of
Your Mercy. Amen
(Our Lady at Fatima, 13 July 1917)
THE HAIL HOLY QUEEN PRAYER - SALVE REGINA
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our
hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do
we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,
Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
THE ROSARY PRAYER
Let us pray. O GOD, whose only begotten Son, by His life,
death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards
of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating
upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed
Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what
they promise, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
THE SAINT MICHAEL PRAYER
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our
protection against the wickedness and snares of devil.
Repress him, O God, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of
the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast down
into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who prowl throughout
the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
THE FATIMA PROMISE PRAYER
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love Thee. I beg pardon
for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and
do not love Thee. Amen
THE COME HOLY GHOST PRAYER
Come, Holy Ghost, fill the hearts of thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of thy love,
V. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created;
R. And thou shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us Pray: O God, who did instruct the hearts of the faithful, by the
light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly
wise, and ever to rejoice in his consolation, through Christ Our Lord. Amen
AN ACT OF FAITH
O my God, I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three Divine Persons: the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I believe that Thy Divine Son became man,
and died for our sins, and that He shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen
AN ACT OF HOPE
O my God, relying on Thy almighty power, infinite mercy, goodness and promises, I hope
to obtain pardon of my sins, the assistance of Thy grace, and life everlasting, through
the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen
AN ACT OF CHARITY
O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou
art all good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of Thee.
I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled
to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to
thee do I come; before thee I kneel, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word
Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen
THE GUARDIAN ANGEL PRAYER
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here; ever this day be
at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Do not permit me to be separated from you.
From all evil foes, protect me.
At the hour of my death, call me.
And bid me come to you, to praise you with all your saints
forever and ever. Amen
The Holy League (a coalition of southern European Catholic maritime states)
credited the victory to the Virgin Mary, whose intercession with God they had
implored for victory through the use of the Rosary. Pope Pius V instituted a new Catholic feast day of Our Lady of Victory
to commemorate the battle,
which is now celebrated by the Catholic Church as the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary
