Honoring the holy souls who during
their lives loved Jesus and strove
to imitate Him and to practice His virtues. *
Psalm 24: 1-5
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain, and
when he was set down, his disciples came unto him. And
opening his mouth, he taught them, saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit (the humble and those whose spirits are not
set upon riches)
: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake: for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all
that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake:
Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven.
For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you.
Jesus said, "these things I have spoken to
you, that in me you may have peace.
In the world you shall have distress: but
have confidence, I have overcome the world."
Prayer for Trust & Confidence
by Saint Padre Pio
O Lord, we ask for a boundless
confidence and trust in Your divine
mercy, and the courage to accept the
crosses and sufferings which bring
immense goodness to our souls and
that of Your Church.
Help us to love You with a pure and
contrite heart, and to humble ourselves
beneath Your cross, as we climb the mountain
of holiness, carrying our cross that leads
to heavenly glory.
May we receive You with great faith and love
in Holy Communion, and allow You to act in us,
as You desire for your greater glory.
O Jesus, most adorable Heart and eternal fountain
of Divine Love, may our prayer find favor before
the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father. Amen
